As the global battle against Coronavirus pandemic continues, the United Arab Emirates and the United States on June 28 discussed cooperative bilateral relations between the two countries. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs, and John Rakolta, US Ambassador to the UAE, held a telephonic conversation on Sunday during when the two sides exchanged views on various regional and international issues of common concern.
Al Bowardi and Rakolta further reviewed the ongoing developments in the fight against COVID-19 outbreak in the two countries, emphasizing on the importance of coordinating and unifying the efforts to contain the impact of the pandemic.
As reported by the state news agency WAM, they went ahead to discuss numerous ways of strengthening defence and military cooperation relations between the UAE and the US in a bid to serve the mutual interests of the two countries.
The UAE and the US have been working together to facilitate regional security, promote economic prosperity, and address global challenges in view of their shared interests and common values.
