UAE travel: Etihad to resume flights to Morocco from March 3

UAE's national carrier Etihad Airways has announced the resumption of passenger flight services between Abu Dhabi and Morocco from March.

According to a statement issued by the airline on its website, flight services between Abu Dhabi and Morocco will resume from March 3, 2022.

 

COVID-19 travel rules

The airline has updated the COVID-19 safety rules during travel between the two countries on its website. According to the update, passengers travelling to Morocco are required to fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days before their travel date. Furthermore, they must undergo a PCR test no more than 48 or 72 hours before their flight departure time depending on the country of origin.

It is also important that the test is conducted at an accredited medical facility and the results are issued in Arabic, French or English. Passengers must present their PCR Test results in printed form during travel. In case, passengers are not able to present a proof their negative COVID-19 test result, they will not be allowed to board the flight.

Meanwhile, children under the age of six are exempted from the protocol for travel.

The authorities had temporarily suspended flights between UAE and Morocco on November 30, 2021 in view of surge in Omicron infections. The authorities continue to implement necessary precautionary measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the region.
