In a major boost in the ongoing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has announced the provision of booster shots of Pfizer-BioNTech and Sputnik vaccines for all residents aged 18 and over across the country.

In this regard, the ministry has underlined that the booster vaccine doses can be taken by eligible people six months after they received their second dose.

Earlier, only some categories of residents were permitted to take the Pfizer and Sputnik vaccine booster shots.

Meanwhile, booster shots of the Sinopharm vaccine are also available for eligible residents six months after they took their second dose of the vaccination.

The UAE is ensuring various efforts to vaccinate all eligible people against COVID-19 with the aim to limit the impact of the pandemic. The authorities have called on all residents to receive their vaccination and contribute to the national efforts against the pandemic.
