The Health Service of Abu Dhabi has stressed on the importance of continuing to get vaccinated even during the holy month of Ramadan. The health Service company ‘SEHA’ also emphasized that taking vaccine shots will not have any medical contradictions within the ongoing fasting ritual.

The importance was especially stressed by the consultant of internal medicine at Al Rahba, Dr. Omar Al Hammadi. The consultant said that even during Ramadan, the health care facilities must continue to administer vaccines and even people should keep getting their covid-19 jabs.

The practice of social distancing is one of the topmost clauses of Ramadan and other than that there should be a proper following of guidelines of wearing masks.

Ramadan should be celebrated by staying in touch with your family and friends who are present at home but it should be extended to distant relatives living in faraway places, stressed the UAE authorities.

He also added that the treatment for Covid-19 patients will be no different from other treatments. If the symptoms continue to adversely affect the patient then doctors will be advised to break the fast of the patient and feed the patient with medicine.

One such facility where there is the administration of the vaccines is the Al Rahba Hospital, which is one of the establishments of ‘SEHA’ company. Till now the UAE has made tremendous efforts in vaccinating the community with its early announcement of vaccine approval.

The top leadership is making sure that vaccines are made available to all and those eligible to get the shots are receiving vaccines as fast as possible so that the UAE gets closer to herd immunity.
