UAE’s humanitarian aid of dispatching an aid plane with medical supplies to Iraq to help the country in its fight against the Covid-19 pandemic has been commended by many Iraqi officials.
In an interview to Emirates News Agency (WAM), Head of Arab Department at the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, Dr. Osama Al Rifa’i said, “The generous gesture made by the UAE reflects the depth of the historical and brotherly relations behind the two countries and the UAE’s commitment to strengthen the efforts made by Iraqis to survive the crisis.” Dr. Osama was joined by many other officials who welcomed the UAE sent aid plane at Baghdad International Airport.
Dr. Osama Al Rifa’i further added “The people and government of Iraq will remain grateful to the UAE for the commitment to deliver medical aid to Iraq under the tough circumstances the entire world is going through.”
The UAE aid plane carrying medical supplies and screening devices, was welcomed by many officials from Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment, along with officials from other state departments.
