UAE authorities have reduced the time for green status on the Al Hosn status from 30 days to 14. As per a report by the state news agency Wam, the Ministry of Health and Prevention stated that the new system will be effective from December 5.
After 14 days, the colour on the Al Hosn will turn grey until a negative PCR test is secured by the user. On Wednesday, the UAE reported its first case of the Omicron Coronavirus variant. Authorities have highlighted that the detected patient has been kept in isolation and all health protocols are being followed to enhance the safety and security of other community members.
The green pass shows vaccinated and PCR status on the Al Hosn app. It is required for entry to many public venues in Abu Dhabi.
The move has come in line with the ongoing efforts to protect the public health and to limit the spread of COVID-19 virus in the country.
