In a major achievement, the UAE has won three international awards across three major categories at the Asia Healthcare Awards 2022. Based in Singapore, the prestigious global award ceremony is an annual event aimed at evaluating and recognising the best achievements among leading healthcare providers in the Asian region.
At the ceremony, Dr Haidar Saeed Al Yousuf, managing director of Al-Futtaim Health received the award for the ‘CEO of the Year’ in Asia for his tireless efforts and potent leadership that positioned the brand as a distinct healthcare provider in the segment. He has facilitated the establishment of a healthcare ecosystem set up on a unique business model of balance. The company has provided top quality service and the best treatment to all community members alike across the UAE. The award has come as a moment of special pride, not just for Al-Futtaim Health, but also for the UAE, noting that he is the first doctor and CEO from the nation to receive such an honour across the Asian continent.
Furthermore, HealthHub Clinics by Al-Futtaim won in the category of ‘Primary Care Provider of the Year’ the in Asian region. The award was given on the basis of a selection criterion covering skilled medical professionals, state-of-the-art facilities, top standards of patient care, and the application of advanced technology across specialities and primary healthcare requirements.
The award has come as a testimony to HealthHub Clinics' continuous efforts to enhance patient care. It is the first chain of primary clinics in the UAE to recently receive a gold seal recognition from Accreditation Canada. It is a well-deserved win for HealthHub Clinics, noting that the healthcare provider has risen above challenges and made a remarkable impact on its patients, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, the chain of clinics also won in the category of ‘Service Innovation of the Year’ in Asia. The award was given for the clinics' unique integrated healthcare model combining smart technology such as Telehealth services, innovative diagnostics and advanced data-assisted systems for the enhancement of patient care. All these factors have worked together efficiently to provide rapid and effective services to patients across the UAE.
Dr Yousuf termed it a great achievement in the health services standards of the UAE, adding that it is a reflection of the dynamic leadership in the private health sector.
"It highlights the commitment that lies in providing the right guidance for the best medical services to patients, according to the highest international standards," he added.
Last year, Al Futtaim Health received three awards at the ‘Asia Healthcare Award’ ceremony in the ‘Corporate Social Responsibility of the Year’ category; the distinguished ‘Secondary Field Hospital of the Year’ award and the ‘COVID Management Initiative of the Year' award. All these awards are seen as the recognition of the advanced services provided by the UAE's healthcare sector for its patients.
