UAE Minister of Health and Prevention Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais and Cyprus Minister of Health ConstantinosIoannou recently talked over a video call about potential ways of enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries in the health and medical fields.

During the call, the two ministers laid emphasis on the need for boosting global efforts to mitigate the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On his part, Al Owais affirmed UAE's keenness towards strengthening cooperation and partnership with various countries across the globe to counter the impact of the pandemic and develop a potential vaccine against COVID-19.

He also underscored the importance of mutual cooperation between the UAE and Cyprus in the health sector, highlighting the need for uniting international efforts, exchange expertise and step up and accelerate global action to combat the crisis effectively and efficiently.
