UAE, Bulgaria discuss bilateral ties, ways to tackle COVID-19 crisis

UAE Foreign Minister, Bulgarian counterpart discuss ways to curb COVID-19.

As the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic continues, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva recently held a telephonic conversation during when they reviewed various ways to enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the phone call, Sheikh Abdullah and Zaharieva shed light on ways to boost joint cooperation between the UAE and Bulgaria in multiple sectors such as economy, tourism, commercial and education.

Amid the efforts to tackle the spread of Coronavirus, the ministers reviewed the ongoing developments in the response against the pandemic and measures to contain it. They further laid importance on mutual cooperation and solidarity in the fight against the pandemic and addressing its ramifications across all sectors.

Significantly, the two ministers shared their views on regional developments and various issues of common concern, including Libya.

During the telephonic conversation, Sheikh Abdullah hailed the prominent bilateral ties that the UAE and Bulgaria have been sharing and their administrations' continuous efforts to boost the relations in the world order. In response, Ekaterina Zaharieva underlined the strong ties between the UAE and Bulgaria which the two countries have witnessed growing and developing exceptionally in recent years.

UAE Minister of State Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh also participated in the conference call along with the two foreign ministers.
