The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) recently announced that the UAE has administered more than 10 million Coronavirus vaccine doses to people across the country, since the launch of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign.

This achievement demonstrates the success of the vaccination campaign, which is aimed at achieving herd immunity and facilitating speedy recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The success of the campaign also highlights people's confidence in the safety and efficiency of the vaccines provided by the UAE's leadership free of cost to the entire community.

Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, underlined that this success is the result of the vision and directives of UAE's leadership and continuous efforts of the healthcare sector and frontline heroes to protect the health and safety of the community.

He added that the health sector is continuously administering the vaccine to people around the country. In this regard, Al Owais stressed the importance of raising awareness about getting vaccinated to ensure rapid recovery from the pandemic. He noted that the four types of vaccines that are being administered for free to all segments around the UAE are safe and highly efficient.

On his part, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of the National COVID-19 Crisis Recovery Management and Governance Committee, lauded the campaign's success in surpassing 10 million vaccine doses in the country. He affirmed that the UAE is steadily moving towards post-pandemic recovery with the support of the vision and directives of its leadership and coordination of relevant institutions.

Dr Al Jaber expressed UAE's keenness to vaccinate all eligible members of the community against COVID-19. He further asserted that the cooperation and support provided by all community members to the national vaccination efforts have helped the campaign in achieving its goals and reaching acquired immunity in the country.

Obaid Rashid Hassan Al Shamsi, Director-General of the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA), hailed the distribution of over 10 million vaccine doses as a key achievement that will help the campaign in fulfilling its objectives. He added that the campaign’s success is the outcome of the vision of the UAE's leadership, which is keen on providing the crucial vaccines to all segments of the community in record time.
