Travel restrictions to Kuwait announced by UAE airlines

Travel restrictions have been announced by UAE airlines – Emirate Airlines, Etihad Airways and FlyDubai. The announcement was made after Kuwait said of suspending entry for non-citizens for two weeks starting February 7, citing rise in number of coronavirus cases.

As per the issued guidelines by Abu Dhabi's Etihad Airways, starting February 7 to February 21, only Kuwait nationals, first-degree Kuwaiti relatives and domestic workers travelling along with a Kuwaiti sponsor are allowed to enter Kuwait on the airline’s flights. Furthermore, a 14-day quarantine is mandatory on arrival to Kuwait and a negative PCR test result is required before flight departure.

Dubai-based Emirates airlines announced that it is not accepting non-Kuwaiti passengers on its flights from Dubai to Kuwait, starting February 7 to February 20, 2021. Customers that have tickets with Kuwait as a final destination will not be allowed to board at their point of origin for journey.

FlyDubai airlines has announced that effective from January 24 until February 6, all passengers with onward flight connections to Kuwait would not be allowed to travel. This doesn’t apply to passengers who are connecting to Kuwait after completing their 14 days quarantine in Dubai.
