The UAE is moving steadily and confidently towards containing the current pandemic and moving forward through the recovery planning phase with competence and ability through its institutions and members of society, both citizens and residents.

We emphasise that taking the vaccine has become a humanitarian and moral duty for all, for the health and safety of the community and in support of the national efforts to overcome this pandemic.

The vaccine is the safest way towards a full and sustainable recovery, the only way to restore normalcy and resume economic activity in all sectors. This requires the community to respond to the campaign and take the vaccine. 

The UAE is witnessing growing demand for the vaccine among all segments of the community, with the total number of doses provided to the public amounting to 4,413,649 until 8th February 2021, a rate of 44.63 doses for every 100 persons.

In line with UAE’s vaccine initiative Weqaya launched “Fight it” campaign to encourage the UAE citizens and expats to do this simple yet extremely effective gesture that is to roll up their sleeve in order to receive the vaccine and bring back our life together.
