The recent years have seen a rise in the humanitarian work done by the United Arab Emirates, which is immensely supported by the volunteers who leave no stone unturned to help the less fortunate.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is one of the many to show appreciation for the work of these volunteers. The crown prince of Abu Dhabi recently showed his appreciation for the hard work of these people who have come forward to help the communities in the time of crisis.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE armed forces also said that the volunteers are the true strength of our society. In a tweet on December 5, he said,“On International Volunteer Day, we acknowledge the dedication and community spirit of volunteers in the UAE and worldwide. He remembered the contribution of these volunteers who have always stepped at the time of help on December 5, which is celebrated as the International Volunteer Day. This day is celebrated to honor the work of volunteers who selflessly dedicate their efforts and raise public awareness about their contribution to the community.
It is especially important in this because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that has taken the world by storm. The work done by volunteers during the times is extremely crucial as there are a lot of people without proper facilities and lack awareness on how to deal with the virus while continuing to go through their life.
In Match this year, the crown prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed launched a volunteering campaign called ‘Your city needs you’. This led a lot of people to join in the activity and pitch in for people who face difficulty in dealing with the virus.
