Monday’s revised regulations have allowed only vaccinated people to attend the funeral and memorial services in Sharjah. The Sharjah Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team (SECDMT) has increased the cap to 100 people for offering condolences in the suburban councils, villages and condolence tents.
The number of people allowed to attend condolence meetings at homes is limited to 20, stressing importance to follow all precautionary measures that have been issued by the competent authorities.
The authority stressed that only vaccinated people can offer condolences, with the activation of the green pass system for Al Hosn application. The authority also said that elderly and people with chronic diseases must also avoid to attend these gatherings.
