A visual communication second workshop was organized by GCC General Secretariat on Sunday July 12. The topic of workshop was “The Impact of the Corona Pandemic (Covid-19) on the Electricity and Water Sectors.

The workshop was aimed to exchange the expertise and experiences of various GCC ministries and authorities related to the electricity and water sectors as to the challenges experienced in these sectors and security of these essential services due to pandemic crisis. The workshop also discussed the experience related to risk management strategies and development and review of business continuity plans. Experiences regarding recovery strategies from the crisis and disasters in the long term and plans to life and work strategies post Corona were also discussed.

The workshop was attended by over 30 participants representing GCC ministries and Electricity and Water authorities. Also present in the meeting were GCC Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) and GCC Water Science and Technology Association (WSTA) representatives.
