Ras Al Khaimah authorities have extended the COVID-19 safety rules with the aim of curbing the spread of the virus in the emirate. As per new guidelines issued by the authorities, COVID-19 precautionary measures will continue until July 1 to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all community members.
The precautionary measures issued by the Ras Al Khaimah authorities include:
· Shopping centres to operate at a maximum capacity of 60 percent.
· Public beaches and parks are allowed to function at 70 percent capacity
· Public transport facilities to operate at 50 percent capacity
· Cinemas and recreational activities are allowed to operate at 50 percent capacity. Closed halls can organise events at 50 percent capacity
· 50 percent capacity allowed for fitness centres and swimming pools.
· No more than 10 people allowed to attend weddings and family gatherings
· No more than 20 people allowed to attend funerals
· Restaurants and cafes must maintain 2 meters distance between tables to ensure physical distancing and not allow over 4 people at a single table. All members of the same family are allowed to sit at the same table.
· People must maintain a physical distancing of 2 meters at public places.
· People must wear face masks at all time in public places
· Only fully vaccinated individuals and those participating in vaccine clinical trials are allowed to attend public events, exhibitions and recreational activities.
· All those attending public events are required to present a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours before the date of the event. They can also show the letter E or the star sign on the Al Hosn App in order to enter the event.
