RAK International Airport allows entry of passengers from October 15

The Civil Aviation Department of Ras Al Khaimah has recently announced that expatriate residents will be able to enter the emirate through the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport from October 15, 2020, without any prior permission. This development has come in line with the precautionary requirements adopted by the country to contain the spread of the virus, including a mandatory medical test with a negative result for every passenger around 96 hours prior to their return to the emirate.

Furthermore, passengers travelling from any part of the world can enter the UAE through Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, only after they fulfil all requirements mandated by the authorities.

They will have to perform a medical test with a negative result at least 96 hours before boarding the flight to the UAE. In case of a positive test result, travellers or their sponsors will have to cover the cost of another PCR test and quarantine facilities. Travellers with a positive PCR test will be quarantined under the procedures issued by the UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention.

Other requirements include reserving travel tickets and obtaining tourist medical insurance. They are also required to fill a medical disclosure form which will be submitted to relevant authorities.

In addition, authorities have stated that Emirati citizens and residents will be allowed to travel to other countries across the world through Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in accordance with the pre-planned flight schedule. Passengers will have to plan their trip in accordance with relevant precautionary procedures issued by individual countries.
