Preventive protocols against Covid-19 extended by Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah has extended the implementation of strict COVID-19 protocols until June 8

 Ras Al Khaimah has extended the implementation of strict COVID-19 protocols until June 8. This includes putting cap at family gatherings like weddings at 10 people and reduced number of people permitted in public parks and restaurants. The announcement was made on Tuesday.

The COVID-19 appropriate protocols are in line with UAE’s determined efforts to omit COVID-19 through an aggressive testing, vaccination, tracing infections and giving treatment to all patients using the latest healthcare technology.

Protocols that would remain in place until June 8 are:

Beaches: Public beaches are to operate at 70% capacity.

Public transport and fitness centres: All public transport, cinemas, recreational activities, fitness centres and gyms, hotel swimming pools and beaches, must operate at 50% or less of maximum capacity.

Weddings and funerals: At family gatherings and community events like wedding, only 10 people are allowed. At funerals, this number is 20.

Social distancing measures: Wearing masks and maintaining social distancing is mandatory at all public places.

Eating out: When dining out, tables must only seat maximum four people per table – unless it’s one family -and tables are to be kept at a distance of two metres from one another.
