Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has announced that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is available across all SEHA COVID-19 drive-through services centers and vaccination centers in the country. At the same time, the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine is also available across various centers and facilities of SEHA in the UAE. SEHA has collaborated with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi to ensure the availability of the vaccines across its facilities and centers.

SEHA has affirmed that it continues to work with UAE's healthcare authorities and partners across the sector to ensure that all community members have access to vaccines. It has expressed its commitment to strengthening the community’s access to both vaccines in the UAE.

Significantly, UAE authorities are now administering both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines in 60 centers across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and the Northern Emirates. While all eligible people as young as 12-year-old can receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the Sinopharm vaccine is currently being administered to everyone above the age of 16 years.

People exempted from taking either of the two vaccines include those who are currently or have recently been infected with the COVID-19 disease, volunteers in clinical trials of the vaccine, pregnant women, those vaccinated outside the UAE, and those with severe allergies to vaccines or their components. Exempted people also include those community members with diseases proven to have a negative impact due to the vaccine.
