The UAE Pro League, coordinating with the UAE Football Association (UAE FA) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, has announced the validity of the nasal swab examination for those attending matches would be increased to 96 hours. The decision is in effect now for all matches of the Adnoc Pro League, the Pro League Cup and Super Cup of the ongoing 2021-2022 season.
Under previous orders, only people who had PCR test less than 48 hours before the game were allowed to attend matches.
The new decision has been taken in order to give a larger number fans opportunity to visit stadiums and watch live matches, while adhering to all health measures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) put in place by the authorities.
Spectators attending matches must have the Al Hosn application downloaded in their phones. They also must have had the third vaccination dose as approved in the UAE. People who had the second vaccine dose administered less than six months ago must have a negative PCR test result. Additionally, once inside the stadium, all fans must strictly abide by the precautionary measures in place including wearing of masks and maintaining physical distancing.
