Ras Al Khaimah has introduced new precautionary measures to continue this fight against the coronavirus spread for sports fields and those using such facilities.
The measures were brought by Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, who is the commander-in-chief of Ras Al Khaimah police and head of the local emergency, crisis, and disaster and management team in RAK. He stressed on the importance of monitoring the citations in the emirate and also ensuring that whatever precautionary measures are in place should be properly followed.
The new precautionary measures are aimed at certain challenges that are still hovering with regards to the covid-19 pandemic and furthermore ensuring that those who are more prone to catching the virus, should be more careful and awareness campaigns must keep reaching them.
He opened about all these measures while the crisis management team was shedding light on the preventive measures that will henceforth be applicable in sporting venues. A series of measures were announced by the team which will apply to the sports fields in RAK.
To curb the spread of coronavirus in the emirate, the team announced the suspension of football practice or any other sports practice in crowded areas if the relevant precautionary measure were not being followed. Even in residential complexes, activities such as cricket or any other sports will be prohibited if the players do not adhere to the given guidelines of the covid-19 pandemic.
General Al Nuaimi also stressed that if they failed to adhere to these measures, there would be strict implications to their actions. Legal actions will be taken against those breaching the precautionary measures and the violators may be asked to even pay fines if they consistently continue to violate the guidelines.
The proper execution of the covid-19 guidelines will be ensured by the authorities of the relevant departments. He stressed on the importance of the result ignorance of people who do not follow the regulations and risk the safety and health of the entire community.
