The National Ambulance has stepped up its efforts to ensure the safety and wellness of all members of the community during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The National Ambulance continues to carry out awareness measures as part of its "Safe and Healthy Ramadan" campaign launched at the beginning of Ramadan.
Under the campaign, the National Ambulance is working to promote social awareness about COVID-19 precautions among all community members. In addition, the campaign focuses on strengthening the commitment to COVID-19 countermeasures, enhancing knowledge about driver safety, and boosting awareness about recommended healthy practices for fasting in a healthy way during Ramadan.
Ahmed Saleh Al Hajeri, Chief Executive Officer of National Ambulance, stressed the National Ambulance continues to ensure the highest level of preparedness to ensure everyone's safety during the Holy Month.
"As we approach the last ten days of Ramadan, the National Ambulance continues to maintain the highest possible level of readiness as part of the proactive measures we have taken to ensure an effective and rapid response to potential emergency situations that may arise during the holy month and Eid," he said.
He further urged people to continue strict compliance with the preventive measures implemented by relevant authorities in the country. He called on the public to support the ongoing national efforts to ensure public health and safety during and after Ramadan in line with the endeavors towards full recovery in the post-pandemic phase.
In this regard, the National Ambulance highlighted the need for all community members to act responsibly while calling 998 for emergency ambulance service in the Northern Emirates to facilitate efficient and speedy delivery of urgent care to those in need.
The National Ambulance provides emergency pre-hospital care in the Northern Emirates. People can request ambulance service through the dedicated 998 emergency ambulance number and the NA 998 mobile app.
Working at the frontline, the National Ambulance aims to provide the highest level of pre-hospital emergency medical care to patients with serious illness and injuries across the Emirates of Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al-Khaimah, and Fujairah. The National Ambulance is equipped with advanced medical technologies and fleet supported by highly qualified ambulance crews to deliver necessary care to patients in case of medical emergencies, trauma, and public health crisis.
