The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has crossed the milestone of administering one million Covid-19 vaccine doses by providing 1,086,568 doses, with more than 250,000 people having received two doses. This is in accordance with the ministry’s plan of providing the Covid-19 vaccine to all the residents to help develop the immunity, reduce infection rate and contain the infection spread.
In the announcement made on Sunday, the ministry also noted that the vaccine is being provided to the priority group of frontline workers that was approved in early October 2020. But the vaccine is available to all the citizens and residents, specially elderly people and people with chronic diseases.
National Covid-10 Vaccine Campaign was launched by ministry and local health authorities that offers the coronavirus vaccine in all public and private health establishments across the UAE, that will provide vaccine to all residents free and voluntarily.
Since the beginning of pandemic, the UAE’s leadership has regularly stressed that community’s health is a high priority, and has urged all the people to get vaccinated to ensure safety and protection of all.
