An instruction manual has been issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) to federal authorities which lays down the methods of dealing with employees who have been exposed to suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19. This comes in continuation with FAHR’s previously issued manuals and circulars which are aimed to address pandemics and in particular Covid-19 pandemic. The instructions urge all federal ministries and authorities to make their employees aware and stress on importance to follow all precautionary measures which are formulated to help curb the spread of Covid-19 infection.
All the authorities are urged as per the manual to provide logistic support to ensure protection of employees, communities and customers. It also urges the authorities to coordinate with relevant organizations and other authorities to transport people with conformed or suspected infection to hospitals for testing and also identify the exposed cases to Covid-19 and isolate them in temporary quarantine facilities before hospitalization.
Meanwhile all federal employees have to follow all the relevant precautionary and preventive measures in place for Covid-19, which includes their abroad travel history reporting also. Their exposure to any confirmed or suspected cases is also to be reported along with their Covid-19 test result before reporting to the workplace.
