Historic UAE flight EK2021 highlighted the vaccination program in various emirates on Saturday as it made a journey through all the cities to celebrate the United Arab Emirates' remarkable success in administering the vaccine shots among the community members. A national vaccination program is currently in place that is aimed at vaccinating the majority of the population.
The one-of-a-kind flight carried a fully vaccinated crew and even the passengers were on board. This scale of promotion and initiative is also one of the first ones ever taken by any country to promote vaccination. The flight had a total of 400 passengers who were fully vaccinated.
But other than the crew and passengers, the whole aviation team was also fully secured and vaccinated which essentially demonstrated the readiness of the UAE as a country as well as the aviation sector of the UAE. This will establish people’s confidence on air travel and they will also opt for this medium.
Even with the coronavirus pandemic in place, the UAE authorities managed to have confidence in people by implementing tough norms to fight the virus spread. The aviation sector had also owned up to the responsibility of handling communities' life and this made UAE a global aviation hub.
The authorities further praised that in the coming days also they will continue to improve their position as a hub by continuing to invest in cargo traffic and innovations by working in close cooperation with the stakeholders. As for the special flight, the Emirates had hosted a group of senior officials from key aviation and they were also on board along with the passengers in this journey.
"The UAE’s rapid pace and progress in vaccinating our population is a testament of our leadership’s vision and commitment to safeguard our communities, and manage the pandemic by adopting the appropriate measures to protect both nationals and residents,” said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman, and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group.

On the occasion, the officials also noted that the UAE has currently one of the highest vaccination rates in the world. The rate of vaccination in the country is 90.22 doses per 100 people. For this, the credit goes to the efficient team of the health authorities, who made public health their top priority.
The aircraft used in this special flight was A380, which is the Emirate's newest machine. The aircraft featured the airline's brand new premium economy seats and refreshed cabin interior arrangements throughout the cabin class. A380 is a customer's favorite and their first choice as it not only exhibits the best technology but is also providing the traveler with proper comfort.
The airbus had also launched a travel companion application called ‘triplet. Through trips, one can access flight and travel information to ease and restore the passenger’s trust in their end-to-end journey preference.
