Fujairah Police has launched a free drive-through COVID-19 test centre in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Prevention and Fujairah Medical District.
The Centre was inaugurated next to the Fujairah Police General Headquarters by Major General Mohammad Ahmad bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police and Head of the Emergency, Crises and Disasters Team in Fujairah along with Dr Mohammad Abdullah Saeed, Director of Fujairah Medical District.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Maj Gen Al Kaabi said that the Centre has been established in line with the keenness of Fujairah Police to contribute to enhancing the health and safety of the community. The Commander-in-Chief further affirmed that the test service will be provided free of charge through the vehicle in order to save time and effort. The new centre will also reduce the burden of testing on other facilities.
Brigadier Abdul Rahman Mohammad Al Dhanhani, Director of Operations Department at Fujairah Police, added that test centre will be open for services on a daily basis between 2 pm and 7 pm. He further called on all community members willing to get tested for COVID-19 to present their ID card to avail the service. They are also stressed to comply with necessary precautionary measures, and follow the queue of vehicles for smooth operations at the centre.
