Foreign Ministers UAE, Costa Rica discuss COVID-19 combat and more

The Foreign Affairs Minister of UAE and his Costa Rican counterpart discussed about furthering friendship and critical areas of cooperation.

Yesterday during a video conferencing, the Emirati Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Rodolfo Solano Quirós, Foreign Affairs Minister shared their thoughts that cooperation can happen between the two nations in the areas of health, tourism, food security, agriculture, and technology.

The Ministers also discussed about the latest developments related to coronavirus and how both countries can collaborate to control its impact.

The two ministers reiterated that both sides must engage in sharing expertise and new tests to detect virus infection.

Both minister expressed condolences over COVID-19 victims, who lost their lives. They emphasized on the need to collaborate globally to combat the disease.

The ministers also acknowledged the importance of cooperation through multilateral agencies.

The Emirati minister said UAE would like to broaden the scope of collaboration with Costa Rica. He also lauded efforts made by the Central American country to support Dubai 2020 Expo and looks forward to their participation in the event next year.

The Costa Rican minister sharing similar thoughts thanked UAE for extending support to combat COVID. He also appreciated how both countries are engaging more and more in different fields.
