As the UAE continues to initiate efforts to contain the spread of Coronavirus, the Federal Authority for Human Resources (FAHR) has renewed its call to all ministries and federal authorities to take steps to raise awareness about COVID-19 and related precautionary measures among their employees. FAHR has also urged them to strictly follow its circulars and guidelines related to COVID-19 precautionary measures directed at reducing virus transmission.
In addition, it also urged all government employees to maintain physical distancing and follow other precautionary measures while working in offices, in accordance with the instruction manual issued by relevant national authorities on maintaining the work environment amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
To help the government employees during the pandemic crisis, the FAHR issued an instruction manual to federal authorities. The manual details ways to deal with employees who do not adhere to COVID-19 precautionary measures issued to reduce the spread of the pandemic, noting that the human resources departments of federal authorities must follow the instructions specified in the manual, in accordance with the federal human resources law and its executive regulations.
As per a FAHR circular, the Authority conducted three virtual workshops for human resources directors and officers from all ministries and federal authorities, to help them in effectively implementing the instructions of the manual with the aim to ensure the health and safety of all employees and customers.
