A Dubai Municipality official has underlined top violations recently recorded in salons across the city.
A number of the violations included the use of unclean equipment, lack of occupational health card, poor ventilation, offering unauthorized services, lack of consultation and review from customers before and after the services.
These violations were found during the inspection programme organised by the Dubai Municipality during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Speaking in this regard, Dr Naseem Mohammed Rafee, Director of Health and Safety Department, Dubai Municipality, underlined that the programme was conducted with the aim of ensuring compliance with the approved standards and regulation control of hygiene during the holy month.
The inspection team has also collected the samples of consumer products and water used in the salons and sent them for lab examination. At the same time, virtual inspections were conducted at various establishments, following which appropriate actions were taken in the wake of violations against required safety measures.
The Authority has called on consumers and other community members to report any violations if they come across by calling their toll free number 800900 or through the smart app of the Dubai Municipality.
