Canada's Laipac Technology Inc. has announced its participation with UAE companies YAS Pharmaceuticals LLC and Pure Health LLC with the aim of launching the world's first Rapid Covid-19 Antigen Test System using Artificial Intelligence. Based in Ontario, Laipac Technology Inc. is an award-winning company in the development of IoMT (Internet of Medical Things).

As per a statement issued by Laipac Technology Inc, European CE-IVD approved LooK SPOT Artificial Intelligence COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test System is a smartphone-based diagnostic tool with lateral flow immunoassay designed for the qualitative detection of nucleocapsid protein from SARS-CoV-2 in nasal swabs. This artificial intelligence ecosystem is aimed at revolutionizing medical diagnostics by facilitating the early detection of diseases with consistent and accurate results.

This Antigen test uses the nasal sample collected from 1 inch in the nostril, following which Artificial Intelligence technology takes 5-8 minutes to provide real-time test results with 97.4% sensitivity and 98.3% specificity in detecting the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

This COVID-19 test kit has become one of the leading testing devices available in the market currently. It has also been successful in detecting new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, including the one identified in the United Kingdom and South Africa.

Laipac CEO and Co-Founder Diego Lai have noted that LooK SPOT's Artificial Intelligence Algorithm is highly accurate and can identify the color signal on tests in low positive cases when human eyes cannot. This allows the test to eliminate human error, providing it a tactical edge to fight the COVID-19 virus.

People can download the LooK PASS App from Apple or Google stores and scan the LooK COVID-19 antigen cassette before the test. They will receive the test results on their smartphones within 5-8 minutes. For negative test results, a QR code will be generated on the app which can be used as a Pass for entry in a facility, events, gatherings, or public transport facilities.

With the help of Pure Health, LooK SPOT will be able to provide full API integration with multiple IT applications and travel apps for real-time reporting. As per reports, the Artificial Intelligence Rapid Antigen Test will be displayed to participants at the LooK SPOT Stand 03-C22 at IDEX 2021 (International Defence Exhibition and Conference) in Abu Dhabi taking place between February 21-25.
