Covid-19: UAE comes to the aid of Sudan and Nigeria, sends medical and food supplies

Mohammed bin Rashid orders urgent aid supplies for Sudan, Nigeria

On Saturday, the United Arab Emirates sent humanitarian aid to Sudan and Nigeria as part of its global commitment to help nations in their fight against Covid-19. The aid shipment to the African nations was dispatched on urgent basis as per the orders issued by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The relief aid, released from the International Humanitarian City in Dubai, included 14 tonnes of medical supplies and 20 tonnes of food supplies.

Admits the ongoing global health crisis, UAE has emerged as a global leader setting a precedence for other nations as so far it has sent over thousands of tonnes of medical supplies to 92 countries in order to support more than one million medical professionals in their fight against the global pandemic outbreak. Emirates is living up to its commitment of sending relief aid to all corners of the globe, with a key aim to support countries’ health system, especially the ones which have been hit hardest by the public health crisis.
