The UAE Public Prosecution on Tuesday shared a message on social media to create awareness about COVID-19 precautionary measures relating to private teaching lessons in the country. In the message, the UAE Public Prosecution affirmed that private tutoring lessons are a violation of the precautionary measures issued by the authorities to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
It further added that private teaching lessons are in violation of Coronavirus preventive measures under the new table of violations and fines associated with the Resolution of the UAE Attorney-General No. 38 for 2020, amended upon Resolution No. 54 for 2020. Private tuitions breach the regulatory measures due to the involvement of personal contact through face-to-face meetings and interactions at private or public places or during home visits without fees for all academic years. The Public Prosecution warned that people involved in such activities will face a fine of AED30,000 for organising or being present at the private lessons. In addition, those responsible for providing the venues for such activities will be fined AED20,000.
The Public Prosecution has published the awareness message with the aim of increasing the community's alertness in following the COVID-19 preventive measures in a bid to contain the spread of the virus across the country.
