Amid the easing of COVID-19 restrictions across the UAE in view of reducing infections, health authorities have urged people to continue compliance with certain safety precautions such as wearing face masks and regular hand washing and sanitising along with taking the vaccination to curb the spread of the virus.
However, washing hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as well as continuous use of hand sanitisers tend to increase dryness of the hands. In this regard, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has provided basic tips for community members to treat dry hands.

· Use cold water while washing hands

· Wear gloves while doing household chores
· Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water (at least eight to ten cups daily)
