UAE sends medical aid to Thailand in war against COVID-19

Continuing its streak of humanitarian aid, United Arab Emirates sent an aid plane carrying 11 metric tonnes of medical supplies to Thailand to help the country fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

The aid is supposed to provide assistance to over 11,000 medical professionals in the country trying to curb the coronavirus infection.

UAE Ambassador to Thailand, Saif Abdullah Mohammed Al Shamsi said commenting on the aid supply, “The UAE and Thailand have enjoyed a historic bilateral relationship for nearly 45 years, characterized by friendship, political consensus and cooperation in various fields.”

Till date UAE has led in providing humanitarian aid to 68 countries. So far 956 metric tonnes of medical supplies have been provided to help support over 956,000 medical professionals working tirelessly to curb the Covid-19 pandemic.
