Recognizing the need for international collaboration to fight COVID-19 pandemic and protect the future of healthcare, various laboratories and advanced research centers in the United Arab Emirates are heading towards bilateral partnerships with various countries and international organizations.
The labs and research centers in UAE have started their collaboration building with the United Nations and World Health Organization. Many countries are also being established partnership with, including United States, Russia, United Kingdom, Sweden, Egypt, Brazil, Israel, India, China, Italy, South Korea, France, Cuba, Malaysia, Indonesia and Kazakhstan.
This collaborative initiative is directed towards the mutual sharing of experiences, and global practices. The aim is also to achieve a better engagement in research sector to work on treatment identification, vaccine development, and screening tools formulation. Along with this there would also be discussions on restoration of normalcy while transitioning from COVID-19 crisis.
The prime objective of this partnership is to prepare for any such health crisis post COVID-19.
UAE is of the belief that the COVID-19 situation can be taken positively to prioritize and strengthen the public health system across the nations. Also working on international cooperation to tackle a pandemic crisis like COVID-19 is now more important than ever.
