In order to preserve the health of society and the safety of citizens, residents and visitors, the UAE government took measures to prevent any negative repercussions of the spread of the new Corona virus "Covid-19" on the society, the UAE Cabinet approved the issuance of a list of violations of precautionary measures, procedures and instructions to limit the spread of the Corona virus, which includes a list of what will be considered violations and the penalties resulting from these violations.

The regulation states that individuals and facilities are prohibited from violating the precautionary measures, preventive measures, instructions and duties regarding the maintenance of health and safety in order to prevent the risk of the spread of the emerging corona virus "Covid-19",Issued by the Ministries of Health and Community Protection, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Authority, including violating quarantine conditions, contact with people who are infected with the virus, and other measures issued by the relevant authorities.

The regulation also confirms that the Ministry of Interior and the general leadership of the police in the country and the competent judicial control commissioners in the relevant federal and local government agencies will monitor the compliance of persons and entities regarding precautionary measures, preventive measures, instructions, and duties issued by the relevant authorities ,accordingly the violation will be monitored, and the notice and guidance for compliance with the measures and instructions will be monitored.

A violation report will be issued if the response to the alert and direction is refused, containing the violator’s data, the violation type, and the penalty type imposed.

Anyone who violates the precautionary measures, preventive measures, instructions and duties issued by the aforementioned authorities shall be charged with an administrative fine of no less than five hundred dirhams and not exceeding fifty thousand dirhams, and the fine shall be doubled in the event of a repeat of the violation for a second time, the violator will be presented to the Emergency Prosecution, Crises and Disasters At the Federal Public Prosecution if the violation is committed for the third time.

The regulation also stipulates that in any case, the violator may be transferred to the Emergency Prosecution, Crises and Disasters at the Federal Public Prosecution if the violation constitutes a crime punishable according to the laws in force in the state, The closure of the violating facility for a period not exceeding six months is extendable, and this is the responsibility of the Ministry of Interior and the general police leadership in the state to collect the value of fines from the violators, in coordination with the relevant government agencies to collect the value of the fines in the event the violator refuses to pay the value of the fine.
