Abu Dhabi authorities have approved the extension of the Green Pass validity period from 14 days to 30 for fully vaccinated residents in the country. The green pass of Al Hosn app is applicable for all fully-vaccinated members for visiting public spaces in the emirate.
Announcing the extension of the Green Pass validity, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee also approved 100 percent operating capacity across all commercial activities, tourist attractions, and events in the Emirate.
However, authorities have called on community members to continue wearing face masks in indoor spaces to protect people from COVID-19 transmission. Authorities have also urged the public to continue compliance with other safety measures including maintaining physical distancing and regular sanitisation to limit the impact of the virus.
Effective from April 29, Friday, the updated protocols are announced in line with the continuing low rate of COVID-19 infections in the emirate. The UAE is witnessing one of the lowest mortality rates due to COVID-19 in the world at 0.2 percent.
This development has come in line with the UAE government's proactive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country. Furthermore, the UAE authorities ensured the implementation of a robust vaccination strategy to inoculate all eligible community members against COVID-19.
