The Umm Al Qaiwain Executive Council issued new orders, in line with the United Arab Emirates’ updated COVID-19 countermeasures. As per the new health circular, the authorities urged all the employees of the Umm Al Qaiwain Government to undertake a PCR test every week at their own expense. UAQ exempted those employers from the decree who had received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The order would come in effect from Sunday, January 24.
The authorities also made special provision for those employees who could not take COVID-19 vaccine shot due to medical reasons. Such employees have been asked to submit to their medical reports, as a proof to their condition and have been asked to undergo a PCR test every seven days, with all expenses paid by the government.
