Ajman Medical District has extended its quest to tackle the coronavirus crisis. Now examinations for Covid-19 will be done on Saturdays in Al-Bayt Mitwahid Hall in Ajman. This is aimed to enable testing of maximum number of residents and citizens of the emirate.
Hamad Tarim Al Shamsi, Director of Ajman Medical District, said, “The increase in the working days of the examinations to six days a week instead of five days came as a result of the high demand for testing work in this center, which has a capacity of more than three thousand per day, and therefore coordination was made with the concerned authorities at the Ministry of Health and Community Protection to add Saturday to the days of the week, as the examination center receives the auditors from Saturday to Thursday, and it will continue to do the examinations until the end of the period set for them for free.”
Al Shamsi stressed that increase in number of people coming to testing centres in Ajman is evidence of the level of awareness among people of communities to help curb the spread of coronavirus infection. He further said that initiative by people is highly crucial in limiting the infection spread and therefore many testing institutions are being established to enable maximum testing. Under our wise leadership health institutions are being directed to detect coronavirus and besiege it, the important steps in tackling the pandemic.
