The United Arab Emirates’ national airlines Etihad airways has announced complimentary PCR Covid testing for all its travellers in all of its flights.

The New Year is already here and people are either traveling back to their homes or coming back to their workplaces and at this time, such an offer will definitely boost travelers confidence and they chose to go to their destinations.

These tests will be offered in every flight by the Etihad airways and will be carried out between 48, 72 or 96 hours ahead of your flight departure time. The tests have been started immediately and will continue up till Match 31, 2021 for all the flights taking off from Abu Dhabi.

It will be applicable for every flight and destination other than China where you are required to arrange a Covid-19 PCR test at an approved SEHA or G42 clinic. The airlines tweeted through its official twitter handle saying,“We’re providing complimentary COVID-19 PCR tests on all Etihad Airways flights from Abu Dhabi until 31 March 2021, giving you one less thing to worry about when you travel.”

From the time the UAE lifted a ban on travel and opened the ation for visitors, it has ensured that proper norms are followed and the guidelines that were set to combat the virus are being followed at all costs. Even for the Christmas and New year celebrations, teh UAE authorities ensured that no stone remains unturned in guaranteeing full safety and security to people.

The UAE authorities had also decreased the cost of Covid-19 PCT tests. The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company announced that the test will now cost Dh85, down from Dh370 at the start of the pandemic.

This is the third time that the department reduced the prices after it was reduced two times in September to promote more testing on an everyday basis.
