New coronavirus safeguards have been implemented in the UAE for charter aircraft arriving from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Nepal, and Uganda. According to a new circular from the General Civil Aviation Authority, passengers must wear tracking devices for a minimum of 10 days. Those that landed in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al-Khaimah had already been given their respective tracking bands, said travel agencies and chartered flight operators.
Since September 2020, Abu Dhabi has required incoming travelers to wear the gadgets throughout their 14-day home quarantine. After arrival in the nation, visitors must take a PCR test, followed by two further PCR tests on the fourth and eighth days of their isolation period. Travelers to Dubai must isolate for 10 days and submit to a PCR test said Musafir.com's group COO Raheesh Babu.
Additionally crew members operating from the listed countries are also required to abide by the new regulations. Passengers must also quarantine at a hotel throughout the transit time, with movement limited to transferring between the hotel and the airport and no interaction with UAE citizens, according to the circular.
