Ambulatory Healthcare Services has opened a new SEHA drive-through screening centre in the Al Sarouj area of Al Ain. The new screening centre consists of 6 tracks - 4 for PCR nose swab and DPI laser-based testing and 2 for administering vaccines. It has the capacity of 200 vaccinations and 800 nose swabs and laser tests per day.

People can visit the centre from Saturday to Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm and from 8 pm to 1 am during the Holy Month of Ramadan. After Ramadan, the operating hours will change to 8 am to 8 pm from Saturday to Thursday.

Earlier, Ambulatory Healthcare Services announced the closure of SEHA Drive-Through Screening Centre in Al Masoudi with effect from May 30, 2021, Friday.

Speaking about the development, Mohamed Hawas Al Sadid, Ambulatory Healthcare Services CEO, said that the new centre has been opened in Al Sarouj to fulfill the healthcare needs community. The authorities have extended operating hours and expanded the capacity of the centre to provide necessary services to all members of the community.

"The centre boasts a new design utilizing shipping containers, which are more durable and adaptable, and provide a very high level of heat and cold resistance. They are also easier to move, reuse, and maintain," Al Sadid added.

With the new centre in Al Sarouj, the total number of drive-through screening and vaccination centres managed by AHS in Al Ain has increased to 3, including one in Al Hili and one in Asharej.

Authorities have encouraged UAE nationals and residents willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine or undergo a screening test to book an appointment through SEHA’s app.
