After a halt, cosmetic, dental surgeries to resume in UAE

Owing to the precautions that are being taken due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the cosmetic, dental surgeries along with other well-being-related procedures were stopped in the United Arab Emirates but as per the recent announcements, it has again started. Private hospitals in the country can now resume eclectic surgeries.

According to the circular, the step was taken to increase the containment practices of the coronavirus. The procedures can resume from March 14, which is Sunday and all those seeking treatments can now fix appointments with their respective health professionals.

Other practices such as physiotherapy and Kairo practices can also be resumed following the relaxation of measures. Covid-19 is being effectively contained in the Emirati nation which is leading to relaxing of such measures but having said that, all the precautions which ensure the curb of the virus spread are being implemented.

Earlier, those patients who either came from outside the country or had urgent medical requirements were allowed to go ahead with their treatment and procedures. The information was gathered after the Ministry of Health and Prevention released a circular. As per a report in Khaleej Times, the facilities will only be opened with proper covid-19 safety guidelines in place.

The circular also included that the facilities will be opened with only 30 percent of the working capacity. Other than this, there are other safety protocols in place. This includes wearing masks and gloves and any protective equipment if necessary.

The temperatures should also be checked daily and the staff must undergo the PCR tests every week. Facilities must also include stickers on the floors that would essentially direct people where and at what distance to stand. Medical appointments must also be made in advance so that paces do not get overcrowded.

Also, children should be kept out of such facilities. They must only be allowed when they are the ones undergoing any treatment.
