ADP records 1,252 violations of resolution debarring parties

In line with the ongoing efforts to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the UAE, the Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) has recorded around 1,252 violations of Resolution No. 38 for 2020 that prohibits people to organize parties and large gathering in ranches across the emirate.

Resolution No. 38 for 2020 related to the implementation of Cabinet Resolution No 17 for 2020 was issued by the concerned authorities in Abu Dhabi as part of the precautionary measures, violations and requirements to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the emirate.

According to the ADP, the resolution imposes a fine of AED10,000 against those who organizes large gatherings and parties in ranches. Furthermore, a fine of AED5,000 is imposed on those participating in these parties and gatherings.

As the national efforts to combat the pandemic continue across the emirate, the Abu Dhabi Police has urged the public to comply with the precautionary measures and protect the health and safety of their families. Stressing that community cooperation is crucial to countering the virus, the ADP further encouraged the public to create awareness among the youth and children about the significance of adhering to the precautionary measures.

The police also called upon the public to report any violations of the precautionary measures to the official authorities through its free hotline "Zaman Service" (8002626), or via SMS (2828) or by emailing at [email protected] to ensure the health and safety of the community amid the prevailing threat of the pandemic.
