The Traffic and Patrol directorate in Abu Dhabi Police handed out masks and other personal protective supplies to residents exercising in some districts as part of the “For Your Safety” campaign, in line with the measures taken by the country for prevention against COVID-19. This came after several people were seen exercising outdoors without wearing gloves or facemasks.

Major Naser bin Badwa Al Darmaki, Traffic Control head, said that the monitoring and distribution process covered Arabian Gulf Street, Sheikh Zayed Street and Corniche Street, with the initiative being implemented by Abu Dhabi Police to encourage exercising, which improves physical fitness and boosts immunity against diseases. 

People who received the gloves and masks during their exercise expressed gratitude to Abu Dhabi Police for their ongoing humanitarian and society initiatives – specially under the current situation.
