Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has opened a new medical imaging facility behind Al Zafaranah Diagnostic & Screening Center - Medical Imaging Building in Abu Dhabi.

According to an announcement made by SEHA, the new facility is now operational from Sundays to Fridays between from 7 am to 10.30 pm.

The centre is aimed at streamlining health care services for patients and reduce their waiting time with the provision of necessary diagnostic radiology facilities under one roof.

Speaking about the new facility, Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS) at SEHA, welcomed the new Medical Imaging Building as a crucial addition to the Ambulatory Healthcare Services network to streamline the patient journey.

For the first time, SEHA will be providing the latest diagnostic services, such as MRI, CT scan and liver elastography in a primary healthcare centre setting to patients without the need for them to visit a hospital.

"This is in line with our commitment to bring care closer to our patients’ homes and act as the primary gateway to a multitude of care and treatment options that SEHA offers," Dr Al Ghaithi added.

The dedicated imaging facility will be providing the latest diagnostic and screening technology for important services like 2D and 3D mammograms, X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI and Bone Densitometry to patients in need.
