Abu Dhabi Municipality Conducts Disinfection Campaign For 41 Shopping Centres

In response to the directions of the leadership to follow up the national sterilization program, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City - affiliated to the Department of Municipalities and Transport represented by the sub-municipal centers - implemented a campaign to sterilize the major malls in Abu Dhabi and the mainland under the national sterilization program launched by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the Ministry of Interior in order to contain the Corona virus and protect community members against it.

The campaign was implemented in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Center for Waste Management - “Recycling” (TADWEER), the Environment Authority, Abu Dhabi Police, Civil Defense, and many other institutions. This campaign covered shopping centers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in addition to streets, walkways, roadsides and road furniture, which included approximately 41 malls in various regions of Abu Dhabi , 30 malls within the island of Abu Dhabi within the jurisdiction of the City Center municipality, and 11 on the mainland, within the geographical scope of the sub-municipal centers in Mussafah, Al Shahama, Al Wathba, and Madinat Zayed

The municipality expressed its appreciation for the cooperation of the owners who manage the various commercial centers such as Mubadala, Lien Investment, International Capital Trading and other companies and institutions that own and manage the shopping centers, the Environment Authority, in addition to consultants contracting with the municipality such as Tatweer, Dorsh, and contractors such as Arco International and the Gulf Contractors Company ".
