Abu Dhabi on Saturday increased the operating capacity of indoor events to 80 percent. According to a statement issued by the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee updated the operating capacity of indoor and outdoor events as well as weddings in the emirate with the aim of enhancing the protection of public health and compliance with precautionary measures.
As per the updated protocols, the operating capacity of indoor events has been increased to 80 percent. Furthermore, attendees are required to present a green pass on their Al Hosn app along with a negative PCR test result conducted within 96 hours of attending the event.
In addition, attendees of indoor events are required to undertake an EDE scan via a hand-held device at the entry points and comply with the precautionary measures, including wearing a mask.
Meanwhile, the maximum operating capacity of wedding halls has been increased to 60 percent. The authority has underlined that the number of guests for indoor halls should not exceed 100 and 300 for open-air wedding venues. Weddings hosted at home must not have more than 60 guests. For outdoor events, the attendees are required to wear a mask and show green pass on their Al Hosn app.
The authority has called on the public to adhere to precautionary measures to strengthen fight against the pandemic.
