The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre has called on eligible UAE citizens and residents to receive their COVID-19 vaccine booster doses in order to enhance their protection against the virus. In a recent reminder issued by the Abu Dhabi Media Office on Twitter, the authorities urged all eligible persons to receive booster dose of Sinopharm or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines based on their vaccination history and age to maintain green status on their Al Hosn app and enhance public safety against the pandemic. The ADPHC has affirmed that the booster vaccine dose will be given on the basis of the individual's vaccination history.
The authority also listed out various designated vaccination centres across Abu Dhabi where people can receive their booster doses.
Here are the necessary details provided by Abu Dhabi authorities for booster vaccination:
· People who have taken two to three doses of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine can take a booster dose of Sinopharm or Pfizer-BioNTech six months after the date of their last dose.
· People who have received two doses of Sinopharm vaccine and a booster dose of Pfizer-BioNTech can take a booster dose of Pfizer-BioNTech six months after their last vaccine dose.
· People who have received two to three doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine can receive a booster vaccine dose of Pfizer-BioNTech six months after the last received dose.
The authorities have also called on high-risk individuals to receive their vaccine booster dose three months after their last vaccination.
