The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, ADDED, has urged the business owners and managers to follow all the precautionary measures and safety guidelines preventing spread of coronavirus especially during the time of Eid al-Adha.
The authorities emphasised that all Abu Dhabi-based businesses, especially the service providers, had to ensure that all preventive measures against COVID-19 were adhered to during Eid al-Adha for public safety.
The guidelines were not only limited to the business owners but also the customers. The ADDED asked people to strictly follow social distancing while shopping, especially in commercial centres and crowded outlets. Besides, they have asked to follow all preventive and precautionary measures such as wearing masks, gloves, and continuous sterilisation of hands and avoiding unnecessary visits for everyone’s safety.
The department also stressed that the staff members of all the business establishments have to wear masks and gloves throughout the working time and implement social distancing among them. Besides, the businesses mangers have to take the employees' body temperature at regularly intervals and report to the health authorities if any COVID-19 infection case was suspected.
Abu Dhabi’s government laid emphasis on safety over celebration as unprecedented times demand extra precautions so that people celebrate Eid with their our loved ones, safely.
